Paradise Island Utilities is pleased to announce that we now accept credit card payments at our Customer Service Office.
Payments can be made in person at our office located on Paradise Island Drive, just before the Ocean Club Estates entrance. This new option provides added convenience and flexibility when managing your water and sewer utility accounts.
Paradise Island Utilities Capital Financing
Paradise Island Utilities is laying out a clear path for the future with its 10-year water and wastewater capital plan, designed to address both the island’s aging infrastructure and anticipated growth. Led by VP James Honeycutt and developed with utility finance experts Raftelis, the $94 million plan allocates $42 million for system rehabilitation and $52 million for growth-related projects. Funding will come from a mix of monthly user rates, one-time assessments for existing customers, and system development fees for future growth, ensuring costs are shared fairly among residential, commercial, and large-scale users. The plan also includes detailed projections of customer impacts, providing transparency while preparing Paradise Island’s water and sewer systems to meet current and future needs.
Paradise Master Planning and Infrastructure Upgrades
Over the past three years, PIU has collaborated with external engineering firms to develop a comprehensive Master Plan for Paradise Island, outlining strategic initiatives for the island's infrastructure. This plan is structured to be implemented in multiple phases over the next 2 to 20 years, aiming to enhance the island's facilities, transportation, utilities, and environmental sustainability.
